"Show me a man's results, and I'll show you his values." ~ Yours truly
How true is this?
We say "health" or "family" is important but when we look at our actions... we are completely out of integrity with ourselves. In fact. Out actions are in complete and perfect opposition. Which is why step one was to get clear on what is at the center of your wheel.
What's at the center is what you truly value and all actions and your current results will be aligned to what's at the center.
We're all guilty of this.
The value which governs ALL values is, integrity.
Is what we say: complete, undivided, and unimpaired?
Likely not.
(... again, we're all guilty.)
Here's why getting clear on what you value is important. What you value drives your behavior. Values are the soul of a man. Every action you take is aligned to what you value.
But most importantly.
Your values set your vision of what is possible for your life.
Here's what it looks like...
T + V + V Formula = Massive Results
T + V + V Formula
=
Massive Results
Your thoughts set your values based on the stories you tell yourself.
From there... your values set your vision.
Your vision leads to your purpose (without a vision you CANNOT know why you're here and what you want in this life) and prepares you for change. Your purpose leads to strategy and aligned action.
... strategy leads to RIGHT ACTIONS. And the right actions lead to massive results.
This formula is as consistent as gravity.
Once you put this all together:
- Values.
- Vision.
- Purpose.
- Strategy.
- Aligned-Action.
It leads to massive results.
A man can only rise as high as his level of personal development.
As you work on yourself and grow in your personal development you get better results.
And it's your RESULTS which leads to new stories and the meaning you give to your thoughts. Which will lead to new values, a more powerful vision, a new sense of purpose and...
... continued positive outcomes.
I call this the Cycle of Values and it propels you into your "Better Man Cycle."
BIG Rocks
"if everything is important... nothing is important."
This is the jar of your life.
As you go through your brain dump and values exercises, keep in mind your big rocks.
The big rocks represent the MOST important things in our lives, he things we say are important:
- Family
- Health
- Relationships
- Your passions
The Pebbles are the kinda important things in our lives:
- Your car
- Your job
- Your home
The sand is everything else, the stuff that doesn't really matter:
- Social media.
- Watching TV all day.
- What people think about you.
All of which DO NOT move your life forward. These are anti-legacy grade tasks.
If you put the sand in your jar first. You won't have room for your family, health, and your passion. You'll fall for the lie of "I don't have time."
When spend all your time and energy on the small stuff... you WON'T have time for all the things which really matter to. You won't live out your purpose.
Which means.
You won't become a better man to lead your family in a world which seeks to devour them. Take care of the big rocks first and your changes.
I promise you.
It has for me.
In the context of this program. Your rocks represent your goals.
What's your goal for the first 4 weeks?
