The Deep Six

The Deep Six are what refer to as the 6 core kettlebell skills.


When all else fails and you don't know what to do, running through the Deep Six a few times will get the job done... trust me... or you can try it for yourself 😉

the exercises

  • Swing - The foundation of all kettlebell lifts.
  • Clean  - The transition to other kettlebell lifts and center of the double kettlebell universe.
  • Press - The ultimate expression of upper body strength.
  • check
    Front Squat - A safer way to squat and a great way to add slabs of muscle.

    Snatch - The Tsar (Russian for King) of the kettlebell lifts.
  • check
    Getup - The ultimate expression of strength, stability, mobility, and endurance. There is no place to hide during the getup, if you have a limitation, the getup will find it.
​If you at  loss as to what to train for the day, or if you're just looking to challenge yourself, spend some time crafting your skills with the Deep Six.


I recommend sets of 5 on all the exercises and 1 per side for the getup.
