Roll to Elbow

the most difficult piece of the getup

This is probably the most misunderstood part of the getup.  Even professional kettlebell instructors fail this piece.

In fact...

This part of the getup probably fails more instructor candidates than the SFG snatch test.

The first posture of the getup is a roll and not a crunch.

The first movement (aside from breathing and moving our heads) we ever do as a child is, we lean how to roll from our back to our belly and our belly to our back.

So

... to drive this home, we'll be breaking down one of my favorite drills to help you solve the puzzle that is "the roll to elbow."

Enjoy!
